Film viewing if National Emergency Briefing
On Monday evening 16th November at 7pm in Wanborough Village Hall there will be another opportunity to watch the amazingly well produced and thought-provoking film “The National Emergency Briefing.” The 50minute film summarises the latest findings on the climate and nature crisis. Experts in their fields give a brief summary on likely impacts to nature, climate, tipping points, weather extremes, food security, health, national security, economics and energy transition. The film has already been shown at over 4000 venues in the UK and that number is rising fast and world wide too. The idea is to get a national televised emergency briefing, headed by the PM, in the style and manner of the Covid Pandemic briefings. Emergency situations need actions and not words, but to get the necessary speed and scale of actions required, in a democracy, public opinion in general needs to be strongly in favour of those actions being taken. Do join us if you are able to so that we can be informed of the latest findings, share our reactions with each other and reflect together on the situation.
