Funerals

Funerals at our Churches

Honouring Life. Offering Hope. Walking With You.

The loss of a loved one is a deeply personal and often overwhelming time. At All Saints, St Andrew’s, St Mary’s, and St Swithun’s, we are here to offer support, comfort, and guidance as you plan a funeral that honours a unique life and reflects the faith and love that surrounds it.

Whether or not you or your loved one were regular churchgoers, our churches are open to all. We believe every person is precious to God, and every life deserves to be remembered with dignity, compassion, and hope.

What We Offer:

Funeral Services in Church

held in one of our four churches, each with its own peaceful and sacred setting. Services will follow the Anglican liturgy, which has space built into it for personally relevant content, shaped with you, to reflect the character and life of your loved one.

Graveside or Crematorium Services

We can also lead services at the crematorium or burial ground, with the same care and reverence.

Pastoral Support

Our clergy are available to meet with you, listen, and help you plan the service. We also offer support after the funeral if you need someone to talk to or pray with.

Thanksgiving and Memorial Services

At a later time, you may wish to hold a special service of remembrance. We are here for that too.

Each Church, a Place of Peace

All Saints

Quiet, beautiful, and steeped in stillness – ideal for more intimate or reflective services.

St Andrew’s

Welcoming and central, with room for larger gatherings and a keen sense of community.

St Mary’s

Rich in history, with a sense of timelessness and solemn grace.

St Swithun’s

Surrounded by nature, this peaceful country church offers a serene and grounding setting.

You Are Not Alone

We are here to walk alongside you — gently, patiently, and prayerfully. Please contact us if you would like to discuss arrangements or simply talk things through.
