Weddings at our Churches

A Sacred and Joyful Beginning

Getting married in church is a beautiful way to begin your married life—surrounded by prayer, tradition, and the blessing of God’s presence and we are honoured to welcome couples as they take this incredibly special step together.

Our ancient churches offer a timeless setting for your vows—filled with meaning, beauty, and the support of a caring Christian community.

Why Choose a Church Wedding?

A church wedding is not just a ceremony—it is a sacred moment in a sacred space. You will make your vows of commitment before God, surrounded by loved ones, in a building that has witnessed generations of love and faith.

We offer:

A personal, meaningful ceremony

grounded in Christian tradition.

A beautiful, historic setting

for your special day.

The support and guidance

of our clergy team every step of the way.

Flexibility to include

music, readings, and touches that reflect your story.

Who Can Get Married?

You do not have to be a regular churchgoer to be married in one of our four churches. If you live in the parish, or have lived in the parish, have family ties or connections to the church, then you are likely to be eligible.

Planning Your Wedding

We know planning a wedding is both exciting and sometimes overwhelming. We are here to help—from your first enquiry through to the big day itself. Our Vicar will walk you through everything, including:

Legal requirements and paperwork.

Choosing hymns, readings, and prayers.
