Listening to our community. Shaping our future together.
Wanborough is a wonderful place to live, work and belong. As our village continues to grow and change, we want to ensure that St Andrew’s Church continues to play a positive part in the life of our community for generations to come.
For centuries, St Andrew’s Church has been part of the story of Wanborough. It has been a place of Christian worship, celebration, remembrance and community life, standing at the heart of the village through generations of change.
Today, Wanborough continues to grow and evolve. As a church, we want to ensure that St Andrew’s continues to serve not only those who worship here, but also the wider community for many years to come.
This is a listening exercise. We haven’t reached any conclusions yet—we simply want to understand what matters most to our community.
We would love to hear from you
Whether you’ve lived in Wanborough all your life, are new to the village, attend St Andrew’s regularly, or have never been inside the church, your views are important to us.
We’re asking people to tell us:
- what makes Wanborough such a special place;
- what opportunities and challenges our community faces;
- what role St Andrew’s plays in village life today; and
- how the church could continue to support and serve our community in the future.
There are no right or wrong answers. We simply want to understand what matters most to the people and organisations that make Wanborough such a vibrant community.g.
How you can get involved
We have prepared two short surveys.
Community Survey
If you live in Wanborough, work here, or have a connection with our village, we’d love to hear your views. Your feedback will help us understand what matters most to our community and how St Andrew’s can continue to serve Wanborough in the years ahead.
The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete. The survey is open until the 31 August 2026
Organisations Survey
We are also inviting local organisations, schools, clubs, charities and community groups to share their experiences and ideas.
We are particularly interested in understanding how organisations currently serve the community, what opportunities and challenges they face and whether St Andrew’s could work alongside them in the future. The survey is open until the 31 August 2026.
What happens next
The surveys will remain open until 31 August 2026. During September we will carefully review all the responses to identify the themes, ideas and opportunities that emerge from the consultation. These findings will help us develop a shared vision for the future role of St Andrew’s Church within Wanborough.
Thank You
Thank you for taking the time to support this important conversation. By listening to our community, we hope to ensure that St Andrew’s continues to be a place of welcome, worship and service at the heart of Wanborough for generations to come.
