Local Residents Confirmed by the Rt Revd Neil Warwick, Acting Bishop of Bristol
On Sunday 22 March 2026, St Andrew’s Church in Wanborough was filled with joy and celebration as a group of local residents were confirmed during a special service led by the Bishop of Swindon.
Family, friends, and members of the wider community gathered to support the candidates as they publicly affirmed their faith and commitment. The service was both moving and uplifting, with the Rt Revd Neil offering words of encouragement and reflection on the importance of faith in everyday life.
The candidates, Joshua, Toby, Grant, Dylan and Kevin, had spent several weeks preparing for this important step, exploring their beliefs and deepening their understanding of the Christian faith. The congregation warmly welcomed the newly confirmed members, and the occasion was a reminder of the strength and unity of the church community. Refreshments were shared afterwards, giving everyone the opportunity to celebrate together.
